Hi there fluke fans...
This coming Saturday is the first trip out for fluke on the Middlebank II and I am most likely going.
I was wondering if anybody else was, or would be interested in going? Just a reminder to everyone.
I went out with them twice last year and did pretty good on both trips,
See you there...

Well at least somebody replied.
If I figure out how to post/resize photos I'll put them up after the trip tomorrow.

I usually go to the middlebank a couple times a year, last year did pretty good with the porgies.
Went on the fluke trip with them two years ago and didn't get any, did catch a bluefish and "a" porgy if I am not mistaken. I plan on going down there soon though Lord willing & life lasting. _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"

Yes, I'm sorry I didn't post how I did.
First trip of the year on the Middlebank II...
Well things didn't go as well as I had hoped. First stop I got a strike and boated a short fluke within 3 minutes. The first fluke caught on the boat for 2012!!!
Unfortunately that was it for me till noon when I got another short. The rest of the boat was catching shorts and a lot of sea robins, but big sea robins like up to I'd say 5 lbs.
I'm not sure how many keepers were caught, but there were some.
I really think that the water temp in the western sound maybe still too cold? I would keep an eye on the weather forecast for temps.
Remember, it's still early in the season.
I can't wait to go back, and I WILL be within the next few weeks for another fluke trip or one of their "Sunset Trips" for stripers.
Best of luck to you if you do end up going. I would.
