Now I know it varies by pond, river, stream etc. But what would you say is your all around favorite lure to catch bass on?
Hands down my favorite is the rapala J series. How about you? _________________ ***SPORTS/FISHING FORUM***

Hands down: the jig. It has come through for me when other lures havent. It's what got me 2 5lbrs last fall, a 6-6 this march, and a 7-4 this march, all from different lakes. All on the same jig too. Black blue, and the trailer doesn't seem to matter. _________________ Catch and release only.

I'd have to give a 1A and 1B just because 1A is proven and way more versatile. 1B is my confidence bait Winter Spring Summer Fall and always produces the big bite for me. 1A has gotten me a single quality bite on ghostly fishing days. 1B has induced bites when the kitchen sink could not and has caught me my PB LMB.
1A. Jig
1B. Brush Hog
I don't get off a body of water without pitching either at some junk no matter the conditions and often they pay off. _________________ Never give up! |

I always seem to have the best action on black/red spinner and texas senko's. On small "farm" ponds, black buzz baits have produced in a huge way. My all time favorite lure to fish, and see hit, is a black jitterbug.... just when the sun goes away and you can barely see where you're throwing it. _________________ Dave..... Very cheap too!
Why buy a $2 jig when you can buy a $69 dirty bird ??? _________________ Never give up! |

You could always try tying a peep onto the top of a buzzbait...you just have to wait until the peep goes stale and turns into concrete. |

Rapala Shallow Shad Rap has always been my best bass lure. I've caught more largemouths over 4 pounds with it than any other lure. My PB 8 pounder was caught on one. |

My favorite lure is a silver bomber square bill crankbait. I've landed everything from pike all the way down to a 3" or 4" alewife on them. If you want to catch fish and don't care about landing other species in the process try one out. |
