Went out carp fishing with my little brother. For the last couple of days, Ive been pre-feeding the area with corn, thanks to some advice JustinSolak gave me and my brother, it payed of well. Caught a total of 5 carp over about 3 and a 1/2 hours. Here are some pictures of what we caught, including a 5 lb 3 oz bass my brother caught yesterday while i was out pre-feeding!

Any of you guys try Rainbow Reservoir? I see more carp there than anywhere else in the state.

haven't tried there. its a bit of a hike for me, and im not too keen on fishin without pre-baiting unless its gonna be a LONG session. my only worry is with so many carp, it may hinder their potential to grow larger.

but i know some spots on the farmington that hold big carp, so i guess there could be some lunkers. got any more info?

Ive been seeing HUGE carp splashing at the top of the water in candlewood. The smallest one ive seen so far was probably 20lbs. I have no clue how to catch them so i just watch and they swim by. Pretty cool fish though.
