got off base and went to First Beach in Newport for a couple hours today and got maybe 7 schoolies while my friend got around 4.
this was the first and biggest fish caught
all were caught on white cocahoe minnows on a 1/8 ounce jighead.
the fishing died though when it became overcast and the temperature dropped. |

Nice fish! Not a bad day in the background either. How was the wind? |

for Newport it wasn't too bad compared to the way it's been lately. I forgot to mention that that was my first striper ever too |

Oh man, now your in trouble. Soon youll be fishing all day for Blues and then all night and morning for stripers, go home and sleep for a few and do it all over again. Before work I typically sneak 1 1/2 hours in as the Housatonic River is right behind where I work. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....
