Every time I fish this place the pattern becomes clearer and clearer.
Fish the coontail.... this mean anywhere from 5-12fow and fish aroudn the thicker stuff. Between punching pockets in the stuff, topwater/spinnerbait, and dropshot you can put a hurting on some great sized bass. The smallest fish of my loast trip was 12inches with the rest being 14-18inches (biggest went 3 11) This pattern is very easy and makes for a great learning spot- dont bother fishing by the shore where shore anglers are prescent- the majority are catch and keep and I believe this pushes the fish deeper as well as the heat.
Go out and spend an hour- the launch is great and the fishing is exceptional. Goodluck and tight lines. |

| That looks like a really healthy fish. Just wondering the location of the lake (I never heard of it) and also it looks like you are in a canoe is it for small boats only? thanks cmorjoe |

Nice fish.
I've gone by that place many times, have a friend who lives in Wolcott, by never tried fishing there. I'll add this to my "try it out" list.

Little more speciffic- the damn right next to the launch is good for maybe 2 largies but my go to spot has been the huge cove headed straight and right out of the launch- its impossible to miss the matted coontail.
As chuck said- no motors- Ive heard they can be stingy about bringing any motor on the lake but a few bigger bassboat guys I know havent had problems keeping the motor tilled out. |

| No, your wrong.... learn to fish differently then the crowd and you will suceed on any lake.... the lake I got my 8 out of is a "toilet full of rats". The difference is that I have confidence and imply techniques besides my "go to" methods. Dont fish shore structure and you'll catch fish there- PERIOD. |
