Had the chance to sneak out for a few hours this afternoon to the cov...man what a few hours i had. Water temps were 60-62 with winds around 5. Started at my favorite flat in the nothern part of the lake 2-6 feet grass/rock mix and man what a fest it was. In three hours i baoted 7 largies(two went over 4 pounds) and 3 smallies (one was around 3lbs). Fish where caught on small jigs and small cranks slow retrieve did the trick. Saw a few smallies looking like they may be bedding but in a few days it will happen. _________________ I love rippin on the river!

Sounds like a great day for Coventry.
I have fished it a few times but have not had any large bass there. Mostly cookie cutters |

Ya there are alot of big fish there i have seen smallies to 6 lbs are largies over 8 caught there. the biggest for me there is a bit over 5 lm and smallies over 3.here sre some humps there that are very productive indeed if you know how to fish them. _________________ I love rippin on the river!

Sounds like you had a good few hours of fishing! I haven't gotten a fish over 3lbs yet I just need to get out a lot more before summer classes start |

Never heard of a smallie over 4 there..but there are some HOG largemouth. Lots of fish just really scattered, makes it tough to pattern and locate consistent fish!
I'll be out on it tonight shocking with the DEP...we'll see what we can "catch" _________________ Well....I guess I'm here too! |
