On Sunday, as for bass (what we were targeting) I had a better chance of one jumping in the boat. The trout, which I rarely fish for were a different story. They were everywhere.

My intuition tells me that Danbury Park Bay will be a hot spot by weeks end. All fish weighed in were released in the area of the Life Guard House. There were a few bags ranging from 12 to 27 pounds with some nice lunkers released.

I was out off Lattins Cove yesterday and couldnt get a fish on anything either. I was fishing top mid and low and nothing. Maybe a few hits on a storm swirl tail grub and thats about it. Talking to all the boats coming off the water, they had as much luck as I did. Thats Candlewood for you. Hit and miss for ever!

2 of us got the Cwood skunk from 8 a.m. to 2 pm. today. Water temp was 53-55. Rain stopped right before we arrived; lightning never happened. No action at the flats. We were consistently marking fish 2ft off the bottom in about 30FOW. We tried EVERYTHING! Dropshot, jig, spinnerbait, spoon, jerkbait, rattletrap, creature bait, senko, swimbait, buzzbait, telepathy, swearing...

I stopped by Scoville on the way home and caught a redemption pickerel.

You should have tried a Pearl Silver 2-1/2 inch Gulp! Minnow on a 1/16 ounce round jighead tied onto eight pound test fluorocarbon line. Laughing

Sorry about the skunk. That's a long way to go for one. Crying or Very sad

Hey, are we fishing at Batterson, tomorrow, Kira? Or on Sunday? I forgot.

Haha. ..like I have grubs or 1/16oz anything in my tackle bag! I was throwing 4oz swimbaits when the day started. My drop shot was a pretty big hook on 20lb. fluoro.

If the bite is tough, a little subtlety can go a long way. Wink
