Well after working a few hours Saturday morning, decided to throw the yak in the back of the truck and head out for a few hours. Got to Beseck at about 11:45, got on the water for 12. Here comes the wind!!! Evil or Very Mad Finally got across the lake to try the west shoreline out of the wind NOT. Only got a couple hits on the pumpkin grub, mostly just spun in circles. Ran into a couple other boats, they didn't get anything either. So at 3:30, paddled my ass off back to the ramp, frozen and beat to hell from the wind. But it was still good to get out and check out what may be our new lake. Would've been better in the bass rig for sure Very Happy

The bite can be brutal sometimes at Beseck. When I've gone it's been hit or miss. Doesn't help that the wind doesnt cooperate!

No doubt, wind has been insane lately. We'll be living there soon, so wanted to check it out.

It will definitely be easier to fish in a bass boat. I agree the bite can be tough but there are some nice fish in there.

Yeah, I ran into a guy in a Bass Tracker who told me he hits some nice ones every time he goes, but the water is usually up to normal levels. This rain should help get it back there. I'll have plenty of time to figure it out living there.
