Really windy today... especially under the bridge...slippery rocks from the not so dry sand, did catch a lovely branch and lost a lure, 12lb line mind you on a cast. Was using a spoon..water moving very fast... saw about 3 or 4 boats fishing the pilings there also...between 2 and 4 pm. Very frustrating lately!!! |

Usually if the boats are anchored by the pilings they are fishing for shad.
The wind has been a bitch lately
Let me suggest about a 1/4-1/2 mile above the 140 bridge on the east side. Throw some top water at them...it should heat up in the next few days |

Went out yesterday morning. My father got one 31 inch keeper and a cat fish. Few schoolies mixed in. Have to agree with aqualung. Should pick up end of this week with the warm weather and the water clearing up some more should do the trick. Aqualungs talking about north water rd. funny though haven't seen many people fishing that area this year. Usually 5 or 10 cars every time I go by. This year most I've seen was 3. Seen some nice fish caught in that area a few years ago. |
