Tomorrow morning I'm checking out a new spot for the third time. It's ct river in the Portland area. Will let you guys know results. Striper should be in that area and locals say lots of keepers already.

Yes please do.
I used to fish over near the fairgrounds years back, never really did all that well but a nice place to fish.

What's up finder? Pm later and we can plan something. As far as new spot goes its slow. Lot of white perch. Ct river cromwell area...most of day was hard cause the current was cruising. So I did what a fisherman does best....FIND THE FISH!! Switched gears mid day and ended up trout fishing yantic river in hebron area. Stripers to trout in one day is a very odd change of pace. Lots of hits, 4 or 5 brookies and a healthy rainbow. And I'm the worst at trout fishing. Stripers are my suit. O well.
