Hello. Does anyone fish salmon brook pond in Glastonbury CT. That may be a spot I might try to fish at. Does anyone know if there are a lot of trout there too? |

they do stock it with trout. you can do really well with powerbait on bottom. not much else in there though, i mean besides the carp. few bass, lotta sunnies.
we actually target the carp in may when it gets a little warmer. last year, they trout became the "nuisance fish". with 3 of us, in 15 minutes, we woulda all left with our limit if we kept em. _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught. |

wow thank you very much. What kind of power bait? I know what power bait is. but not what kind to use or color. when do they stock the pond? |

they stocked the pond b4 opening day. they used to stock it again in early may, but idk if they still do. doesn't matter what kind of powerbait, i usually use the power muck (dough bait)
the key color can change every day. every hour. it can change from one minute to the next. they're hittin on pink, then the bite stops, and you find they're hittin on orange. so bring a variety. _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.

Wow thanks. I will try to catch a carp in there sometimes. Are the fish edible meaning not infected? |
