Alright so I went out to Wal-mart and picked up some waders which I thougt were 25$ ended up being almost $50. But I was feeling good so bought them anyway.

Went to farmington river in windsor and try to catch some smallmouth or trout with rooster tails. Wasnt successful, so instead of going home(springfiel,ma) So i decided to take a ride to hamburg cove.

Wasnt really what i was expecting, since I had never been there. There were huge fish jumping everywhere...really made me want a boat or kayak to get out to them.

I ended up cathing two nice size pickerals a little over 20 inches a few lbs each and two bass one was a cookie cutter bass, the other about 1 1/2.

My first fish of the season, and first time me cathing fish on a spinnerbait, was using charteuse and white...also those trailer hoojs are pretty nice, first time usimg today as well.

There are always big chain pickerel in Hamburg Cove. They're a lot of fun when nothing else is biting.

Yeap, unfortunately, the shore fishing opportunities there are extremely limited. The waterfront land is almost all private property. It's just too valuable. There's a tiny little cabin next door to the yacht club that's on the market for $589,000. That's over $400 per square foot! Shocked
