When I was a kid, I used to hear stories of fisherman catching sharks off of Manresa Island (LI Sound off of Norwalk), any validity there? |

Sand sharks are what you get in western LIS. They aren't as vicious and harmful as your usual shark. |

And brown sharks, and sand tiger sharks, and thresher sharks... there's over a dozen types that come right into the sound. Some more frequent than others, and probably a LOT more often than you think... _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.

There is a nice 10 foot hammerhead on the wall in Rowayton taken at Manresa. |
