Looking for fishing spots around Fairfield CT that will produce some LMB.

Milford seemed to have the best options and is close.

Are you able to fish in the Milford Reservoir?

If not, are there better spots to get some LMB action?

No your not allowed to fish the Milford reservoir but there is mondo pond in Milford that has some LMB. The biggest I caught last year there was 3.5 lbs. you can park at JFK elementary school and the trail is right behind the school.

Mondo Ponds are god awful. They're almost as worthless as the Branford Supply Ponds. I don't know why I always fish those two spots at least once a year.

If you're looking for fishing near Fairfield, get a pass from Aquarion and fish Saugatuck Reservoir. There is no doubt in my mind the state record SMB will come out of that place one day.

I know use of any watercraft is illegal in there, but is there anything against wading around?
