My home lake made #41 on the list of top 100!!!! woohoooo
Shocked to see the name on the list.......but when i think about it im not suprised i suppose.
With the average fish size, and numbers of such fish i can see why it made it where it did.
As my backyard for approx 30 years...i can attest to how good it can be. On the other hand when she is shut down its shut down and will make you cry. Thankfully the good days far out way the bad.
Candlewood at #22 and theres no suprise there. Best lake we have in the state, one of the best in the northeast for that matter. They both beat out some big names. Champlain at #5 but suprised to see winni back down the list...........congamonds better then winni? I wonder who and how they did this judging and how they came up with the list. In any event its cool to see a few lakes from our little state make the list. wonder if KVD was out here one day and i missed him?

There seems to be a mistake...no Batterson Park Pond?
Congamond doesn't deserve to be on this list at all, nevermind at #41. It's a lovely, potentially productive place, but no one in their right mind would prefer to fish Congamond over DVL, O.H. Ivie, Conroe, Murray, etc. Nice to see Candlewood at #22 though...smallie power!
The only other 2 I've fished are #8 and #10...cannot fathom how Congamond is on the same list. Not even close. _________________ Kira

I read the whole article. Congamond is on as the sole representative lake of Massachussetts. Besides Alaska they gave every state a lake. But considering it was in the top 50 it is better than the best lake in many other states.
Kira, Batterson was 101 maybe it will make next years list _________________ Never give up! |

Rock bass lakes I really like Cong. always produces good numbers and decent size bass. It's our kind of lake for sure. Winni in NH is always hit or miss(unless you're Charlie Moore) so I can see why it beat out Winni. Got good experience fishing both and much prefer Congamond. I like weed fisihng |
