I wanted to drop a quick note and introduce myself to the group. I've been lurking around the boards for a while and finally decided to join. I am returning to fishing and kinda starting from scratch. I fished a lot as a kid and teen but life took me away from it and now I'm getting back into it. Any advice, I'll take it!

Welcome to the site, nice to meet you. My advice is to get out there and start tossing out some shiny top water lures and see what gets taken Very Happy and most important enjoy yourself Very Happy

Kind of my same story there . I started back trout fishing a few years ago and then jumped into bass and saltwater also now. What will you mainly be fishing for and where abouts are you located.

I live in Manchester and most times will be fishing the boat launch areas in Windsor and East Hartford (stripers) with the occasional trip to the shoreline (stripers and blues). I'll be poking around the area too for LMB and smallies when I can't get to the shore.

Welcome to the site!

Throwing shallow plugs, soft plastics, and chunks from the launches for stripers would be good. Topwaters, plugs, and soft plastics for them along the shore works well. Bluefish will go for anything they see, hear, and smell.
