I may edit this with more detail but, at the moment my head is pounding.
I went to west lake 04/16 met up with Elixir and Advent, neither ended up fishing but, did kept me entertained. We stayed until the sun was not longer visible
I caught a handful maybe a bit more of LMB 1-2 pounds on
Daredevil
4in swimbait
black red 5in senko
I didnt take any pictures of the small fish.
Another guy who was there ended up with 2 1-2lb LMB on a spinnerbait and he also had a decent size pickerel he caught from a different area.
I went today 04/17
I caught a llot of 1-2 pound LMB
Mainly on a buzzbait
swimbait
senko
daredevil
I only tried the buzzbait on because, it was tied to my line from last night, other wise I may not have bothered
While working the buzzbait across the surface fishing over 1- 2 feet of water maybe 3 feet MAX
I hear a splash and see the whole side of a BIG bass smashing my buzzbait
Unfortunately he missed it and I could get it to come back!!!!
Since spinnerbaits caught fish for the other gentleman the day before and in the past for us AND since my black skirted buzzbait worked I figured I would toss a black skirted spinner out for a few last casts.
I did some fan casting from left to right without any success.
I tried fishing the spinnerbait close to the bottom and tried ripping through weeds.
I told my self that this would be my last cast.
I took my last cast out toward where I caught most of my lmb on the buzzbait which is where I lost the bigger lmb!
I slowly reeled it in near the surface and SMASH about 5 yard from where I was standing a bass crunches on my lure.
It fought hard and a few times stripped some line but, eventually I got it in!

Nice pig! Did you get a weight on it? I'd say 4 1/2 pounds! |

I am going to agree Mike
I will probably buy a digital scale and some bogel grips for the pickerel!
The digital scale (even the pic comes out crappy) will be much clearer to see from the stand point of a forum member.
Any one know where I can find some cheap even generic bogel grips.
I have a dicks sporting goods sports authority walmart and 2 tackle shops which probably carry both.
I am going to look around on the net though to see what i can find.
I thought there was bogel grips that had a digital scale connected to it.

I believe that bass was 22 inches.
With my luck after I buy a scale or get a measuring tape, I wont catch any more biigguns =P _________________
