Nice job PHS!

8cm Rapala X-Raps have been good trout lures to me too. Constant jerking while going with the flow after casting upstream in deeper areas gets them to hit.

Not everywhere. Catch and release is open year round in some places and private ponds/clubs they open the season earlier than the state. I have caught trout in Bantam this year and its not closed, but that is very rare for Bantam too.

PHS just remember trout aren't bass. Their mortality is in jeopardy every second out of the water. Best not to put em on the ground and handle gently and as little as possible if you're not keeping em. Even holding them vertically has proven to increase mortality. Not meaning to tell you how to fish merely trying to inform. Nice brookie btw those are the best trout IMO.
