I got to it today....finally
I ordered this filter a couple of months ago and only today I got a chance to install it.
One of the reasons I waited all this time is that I wanted to drain all the gas out of the boat tank and start with fresh fuel... and also disconnect the automatic oil injector, I hear nitemare stories about these units failing underway, causing the ultimate motor turning it to an anchor syndrome.
From now on I'll mix my gas at 50:1 ratio.
Here's the engine (I have no clue how in the heck that Corona bottle even made in my boat)
Here'a the cut up hose that used to feed oil pump, I plugged the hose with a 5/16 SS bolt.
Here's a close up shot:
The filter installed, I want to replace those brass plugs wit 316 SS.

Neat looking job Joe: Now a quick glance can alert you and save GREIF.
Dam neighbors must be stopping by and leaving there Corona bottles! LOL. _________________ "I was so poor growing up that if I wasn't a BOY I'd have had nothing to play with"

Don you're right, the guy is a "neighbor", and he brings two at the time
The motor is a 98 150 hp Johnson ocean Runner Loop charged. I believe that the 96 and newer had better injection systems, I just assumed doing the mix myself and not to worry about that,
Hopefully I won't forget to add oil every time I gas the boat...that would be a bummer _________________ Live is made of a bunch of little nothings. |

That filter is a great thing to have on a boat Does beer increase horse power? And since when did Corona make a fuel additive _________________ LIVE 2 FISH!
