now that was funny/!

In all seriousness most of the fish in the upper river are holdovers or so it is claimed. The run hasn't started heavy yet but more and more schoolies being caught in the lower section as of now.

When stripers winter over in our rivers, they tend to hug the bottom of deep holes where the conditions are stable and they use as little energy as possible. I forgot what it's called for fish, but they sort of hibernate. I think the dull colored lethargic fish are probably still close to that state,...while the brighter, friskier fish have just been out longer, crusing the shallows and looking for food. I'm pretty sure that you still aren't seeing fresh-run fish yet! Maybe another week or two for that!
