I posted a link to that canoeing guide, above, Stephen. The section of the Mattabesset by the Saw Mill Pub is narrow and shallow. At low tide, you have to launch over a muddy flat. The crude launching area was made of cinderblocks, boulders and scrap wood the last time that I was there. That's why I prefer to get into the Mattabesset from the Connecitcut. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Hi Phil,
Don't remember seeing that link, but not surprised you had checked the launch site out near Saw Mill Pub.
That up river section north of the Pub is much more clear and where I would sometimes hit into a Searun Brown.
Haven't been there in a while!
