A tip I have for topwater on flowing rivers is using a Heddon Tiny Torpedo, Baby Torpedo, or Teeny Torpedo.

Last year I was using a Tiny Torpedo on the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport. By casting downstream and slowly reeling it against the current, I was into largemouths.

I could also see that with smallies on the Housy in the hills.

Try a lucky craft Kelly J prop bait, by far best prop bait out there IMO
