TMA? Can you kayak there?

Aren't water snakes poisonous?

Northern water snakes are not poisonous.

You are thinking of water moccasins which are found down south.

small/medium snakes make great bait! especially garters. our watersnakes spew and stink really bad when you handle em, and they bite too... so they aren't worth the hassle. but a small garter snake, or racer.... bass slurp em like spaghetti

Hey, Steve! Harbor Park is a public park, so I think that the boat launch ramp is open to the public. It's listed as a put in/take out spot on a couple of Mattabessett River canoeing guides, one of which says that the public should yield to the Wesleyan University crew team when using the public ramp:

Hi,

Oh Yeah! They have team rowing practices on West Hill Pond.

Those sculls don't have a very good or quick turning ability ! Shocked

Oh, I should add that it's not a trailerable ramp. It's strictly carry in only. There's a long floating dock in front of it for the use of the crew teams:

Hey Phil, thanks much for the links. I printed them out here at work for future references. Maybe one day this weekend, I'd like to hook into a smallie like that one bro. We've got our rod holders and new fishing pfd's coming this week.

We'd have to get pikePERSUADER1 (aka Dan) to guide us if we'd want to find smallies, John. Although I know a spot we could try if you're up for a challenge. . . . Wink
