Hit Crystal Lake from 1pm to 6pm today. Overall very slow. Only got 3 bass and a couple trout. One bass on the jig and the rest on the drop shot. Drop shot fish were in 4-6ft and the jig fish came from 2ft. The jig fish came from a laydown, behind the laydown to be exact. When I set the hook on this thing, I knew right then and there that it was a friggin monster.

This pig is my new PB at 7lbs 4oz. Shocked I am still in disbelief. I guess if you're gonna only get one jig fish, it may as well be a good one.

Yep ellington/stafford. It's the first time I've actually gone there to fish for bass. I bet I could go there 30 more times and not see another fish that big.

Yeah I have fished there quite a bit. I always knew there was fish in there that size but I had never seen one. Glad to see it though.... Smile
