Yesterday my friend and I set out with one goal in mind, to catch some bass. That is exactly what we did. Together we formed a two man wrecking crew catching 53 bass between the two of us. It was a cold, windy, rainy day, but the water temps were in the high 60s because of the shallow water and the fish were livier than ever. While most bass here are smaller in size there are some 4 to 5 pounders out and about. I took a picture of a few of the bass that clipped the 1 lb mark. I found this one pond that had a side area that was damned off with a pipe leading to the main area and it was only about 2 feet deep and was no larger than 30 feet long and 15 feet wide. It seemed to be stacked with fish. It was as if they were trapped in there. This is where I saw the 4 and 5 pounders...boy did they have bellys on them. However, they were complete "honey badgers" and wanted nothing to do with me and ignored all that I threw at them Mad . My baits of the day were green/orange spinner baits and a perch colored rapala floater. I actually started the day at another pond that i like during the summer, but I made the choice to leave there since I had only caught a 3 bass there sofar and I had had such a good day at the course the day before. The difference at the course today was that I explored even more into the condominium complex to find more ponds bearing fish. All in all a good day for quantity not really quality. Very Happy

That I did until an old guy yelled at me as his wife told him to leave me alone. There's always someone everyone else wanted to know how I was doing while he felt the need to be a jerk for no reason so I apologized and left. It killed me to leave that huge bass though.

A poacher kills fish...I don't kill them I don't even eat fish. Plus the sign says no trespassing on the pond and under it, it says no swimming or skating...so technically I was just standing on the side of the pond and not trespassing

I was making a joke from another thread

http://www.ctfishtalk.com/fishing-posted-area-and-traversing-private-property-t8583.html

Poacher - One who hunts or fishes illegally on the property of another.

Laughing

This cold front may ruin every ones fun! =/

I fish a few places that have houses around most of it and you are only allowed to fish one area....

Theres a local pond that has posted signs on the road side, years back I was told the city was suppose to buy the land but, I doubt they have...

Maybe that can be the goal of the week find out if they bought the land, so I can show you mo fos what bass fishing is really about...

I agree your pics are huge (must be to make the fish look bigger)
and
They are horizontal
