News I have for bass fly fishermen is Tuesday while I was fishing a local pond, I saw a blue dragonfly!

I've seen largemouths go crazy on the surface for dragonflies later in June, July, and August. But a dragonfly in March!!!

Hi Michael,

YES! This Wx is crazy -> Way to warm for March.

We need some serious spring rain to fill the drawn down lakes and ponds.
Hope this dry Wx doesn't mean we're going to have a drought this year -> That would not be good Exclamation
I've already noticed that the streams and river here in the NW corner are running more like early to mid summer -> LOW!

I hope not a repeat of the hot and dry summer of 2010. I remember plenty of reports of dead pike and trout that summer and the upper Housy and many other rivers were low.

Wow, that is crazy. I enjoy fly fishing for bass myself. Thanks for the heads up Michael.

Hi,

Float fished the Alagash River in Maine couple of years ago for Smallies.
Used 7 weight rod with floating line, 7 1/2 ft leader, and poppers!
They would smash the popper -> lots of fun!
