Ok, so I know I just posted a report yesterday on Mamanasco, but.....

Got home from work last night right at dusk and decided to toss a few in the water since the wind hadnt picked up yet. Just put on a 3/8 Booyah Colorado Spinner since I hadnt tried spinners this season. A few casts in I had my first fish. Thing was probably about 1Lb but put up one hell of a fight. Few cast later a 1/2 Lb'er hit, again with another amazing fight. Was surprised to see how small this guy was when I got him in considering the fight. Few casts later a 2.5-3LB nailed it in shallow water. Bent the hell out of my bait when he hit, but well worth it.

That was all in about 20 minutes of fishing. Only stopped cuz I had to throw on some dinner.

Went back out at about 8:30 and hit another 2.45LB'er with the same bait about 10 minutes in. My line is needing replacement and my reeling with messing me up so I had to take a short break and fix up my reel for the time being. Went back out and got about a 1.5LB'er within 20 minutes. The skirt of my spinner got ripped up so I called it a night.

So needless to say Im going to pickup some new spinners tonight. Things seemed to have picked up quite a bit with these warm spells. Dont want to jinx it though.

Yep. Luckily my backyard has a small dock. Just been fishing the shorelines. On occasion I as well go back into the woods across from the high school and every so often near the launch. I see guys fish and troll in the middle of the lake all the time, but honestly i see more luck from the shore. There is a ton of structure in that water. It may be really shallow, but its a prime spot with enough investigation.

I belive it is at it's deepest in the middle where there is a channel and it gets to 10 feet deep. I'm not surprised with the fact that the lake is not that deep and the warm temperatures that the bass are moving up probably in pre-spawn mode.

jomonkey, i agree with you on this. The fact that the water is murkier as well (heavy vegetation) make it good for this time of year since there are more spots for them to nest. Id def. recommend hitting it up as soon as you can with these warm fronts coming in. Let me know if youre around.
