Got out to Bantam with Keith yestarday for a very fun afternoon on the water. Keith brought his usual 10-or-so rods,..and as usual, used the one with his frog 99% of the time!
I shouldn't talk though, since I caught all of mine on a jig!!
Anyway,..Keith claims that he beat me 9 fish to 7,...but I think it's only because HE was the one keeping score!! .......Actually, Keith really knows this lake,...we would pull up and he would go, "this patch of pads is usually good or at least 2 fish"....and sure enough he'd get 2 or 3 fish from it. He pointed out a swim platform and told me to toss over to it saying,"that platform usually holds a good one",..and sure enough I plucked a nice chunk out from under it!
Just about all the fish were solid, in the 2-3lb range, while I got the lunker of the day at 4.25#! All in all, it was a great day on the water, with some great company!!

Don't worry Ron, we both had a few shake off on us including one I had at the side of the boat that looked 5-ish!! Also, I marked a lake-map for SkeeterJim showing where we caught most of them! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

You tell'em Jon! I told Mark that SkeeterRon and I were going up there Saturday so what does he do......he takes that afternoon off, takes Keith up there and promptly beats up all the fish there! I think they did that just to improve my chances of having a crappy day there on Saturday! Either way it was nice of those two to leave a few fish that were lucky enough to shake off for me and Ron. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

Trust me they didn't beat up all the fish. I was there yesterday afternoon and we had 3 fish in the 4 to 5 lb range and numerous 2-3lbers both smallies and lg mouth! |
