Check out bassyaks.com

It is a local shop here in CT and he custom makes kayaks to the customers specifications. He will put a trolling motor kit on just about anything you have for a fair price. He has used kayaks for sale all the time for decent prices as well.

Just throwing it out there for some of you guys getting your income taxes back looking to get a yak...

Hey that's cool Ryan, where abouts is he? We just have a couple crappy Ocean State yaks, but we're looking to do some add ons.

Connecticut Outdoors LLC in Oakville, which is just north of Waterbury off of Route 8, is a dealer for Bassyaks. The store had only a couple in stock the last time that I was there, but the owner, Dave Farber, has used a bunch of different powered kayaks and could provide you with a lot of helpful advice. It's the best place for a showroom kayak shopper to go; it always has a bunch of different kinds of kayaks in stock. Here's a link to the store's website:

That's cool Phil, not very far at all. Hey Phil, I've got the weekend to myself, and I've got tons of work to do on the bass rig, but if you're going to be out and about, maybe we can do some yaking somewhere. I'll drop you a pm when I know how I'm making out with my chores Laughing
