Sunday I started off by hitting a small pond around 12:30pm.
The 6cm Husky Jerk that was working for me at the golf course caught me 2 bass and 2 bluegills. Biggest bass was 14" 1.25 pounds and one bluegill was an 8" keeper.
Later I switched over to a 1/16 ounce white maribu. Bluegills stared at it a lot but hardly hit it. Missed out on a nice bass and caught a dinky one.
Last lure was a Texas rigged black 5" worm. Hit a bass under a pound with it.
Later once the sun got behind the trees and it was hard to see the fish through the clear water, I headed over to the private pond.
Bass and perch weren't as active this time in the same spot I've been hitting them. Lures I threw included 4cm silver shad Jointed Shad Rap, 5cm helsinki shad Clackin Crank 3, 6cm firetiger X-Rap Shad Shallow, and a custom painted 6cm X-Rap Shad Shallow.
In another area I did catch 2 bass with the Jointed Shad Rap. Biggest was the same size as the one in the pic from the other pond.
Hit the road around 6:15pm. |
