Tomorrow I will hit the Farmington River for some trout fishing! This is the first time I'm heading out in MONTHS of no fishing, so I will post results and/or pics when I return!
Yeah, I know...it's NOT opening season yet, BUT I can catch all the fish I want as long as I return them to the waters from which they were caught without harm....gee, I've been doing that for YEARS.....haha!
I bring a digital camera with me all the time when I fish because I take pics of the fish I catch and release them - I just love the sport of it! I do eat fish too, but I'd rather bring home a saltwater fish.
Til tomorrow my fellow casters.....

Yeah, I usually takes pics too if they are anything decent. Im not taking pics of anything under 12" unless its an unusually large fish for that species. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Here's a few photos of the fish I caught today - no giants or bragging-board fish, but still the first fish of 2012!...caught a few more smaller ones and missed about 6others - all on a variety of lures (view the pictures to see the lure)
I will be back there again VERY soon! Fish are aggressive today and it's not even in an area where they released |

I used to fish that spot when I was very young with my father and it's nice to see that it hasn't changed a bit! I love that area and always will. Of course, when I do catch a trout, I hold it up in the air and ask my father "how's this dad?" |

I will go down about a 1/2 mile....where the wood post rail is on the left (on the bike trail)...there's some spots down there where the water runs swift into a calming area...steep hill to get down in the area I go to, but what a great spot!
Years ago, they had a spot you could drive your car down to and walk down the bank, but that's even a further walk because they blocked off vehicles to that area. |
