|
After a tuff morning and early afternoon, I decided to spend the rest of my time at the private lake I hit the perch at Monday.
Arrived just after 4pm and stuck with that 4cm silver shad Rapala Jointed Shad Rap at the same spot.
Was getting plenty of hits and first fish on I lost.
Later I caught a 9" 3/4 pound perch
Then I get a nice hit and set the hook. The battle was on. Loosened the drag to let the fish take a few runs. Landed a 20" 4 1/2 pound largemouth.
Just 5 minutes later, another battle. This one felt heavier! Let it take a few runs and then landed a 22" 5 pounder!
Hit 1 more perch and then left around 5:20pm.
Those 2 pigs really cheered me up after the day I had earlier! |

Every single LMB and SMB I catch I throw back. Rather have them stay healthy and grow bigger and let other fishermen C&R. |
