As long as your eating them all thats cool. Back in the day I knew a guy that used to bring fish home just to show people what he caught and then throw them in the woods. I disassociated myself with them long ago due to that and another thing.

I think that the bass will fry up better than the crappie. I wouldn't eat bullhead from any Connecticut inland waters. Think about the kids that you haven't had, yet. Wink

The CT DEEP's statewide freshwater fish consumption advisory states that people in the low risk group should eat no more than one meal per week of any fish other than trout and people in the high risk group should limit themselves to one meal per month. Most Connecticut inland waters are contaminated with mercury and many, especially the rivers, are contaminated with PCBs. Because of this, the thought of eating bottom-feeding fish from just about any inland waters on the East Coast isn't very appealing to me.

both are extremely toxic!
pcb can be found in a lot of plastics we use including baby bottles!
mercury can among other things be found in silver tooth fillings!

Most if not all "fresh caught" fish are contaminated in one way or another!

Oh, John, in case I misunderstood your question and you were actually asking why I think that the largemouth bass will fry up better than the crappie, it's because I've always found crappie to be a little mushy in texture when filleted and pan fried. Largemouth bass cooks up much firmer.
