I have had quite a few banner days dragging a grub on a northwest corner lake in the spring time. If they are on it, it can be killer.
Jerkbaits and jigs. I have a buddy in NJ whos getting them on crankbaits the last few days. |

I would add try fishing paddle tail grub type baits in brown colors on a jighead and slowly bounce and drag along the bottom, killer for smallmouths! |
