Nice job guys. Live bait? Dead bait? Artificials?

We were using live pike shiners, but im the not the best at hooking them, so they didnt seem to last very long, i believe they were dead by the time we got them, but im not sure

Nice pike! When hooking a live shiner I try to go right behind the dorsal fin as close as possbile and as high as possible. Just barely low enough that the hook has something to hold onto. To low and you hit the spinal cord which paralyzes them and slowly kills them. I've had that happen to me many times Crying or Very sad until I dissected a pike shiner to see exactly how deep the spinal cord is then the problem was solved Laughing

Oh WOW!....... Biology 101
Where do you put the hook in a frog, BT ? Laughing

So exactly how deep -> Have that same problem with shiners -> Goldies no problem!
