I doubt it. Not a trout habitat. Trout prefer colder, moving (more oxygenated) waters. |

Plus, the northern pike in the cove would have a feeding frenzy! _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

^That would work out for those of us that like to pike fish though. Don't be surprised if they do exist in there. The Bantam river is loaded with trout, and that sucker moves slow as molasses! |

DIdn't know there were trout in Bantam. Aren't there loads of pike also that would eat the trout? I've fished the river a couple times and only caught bass, pike and perch. What do you usually use to catch trout in Bantam? I'd love to give it a shot. Love that little river and how scenic it is. |

Usually a fluke if i'm pulling trout out of the Bantam River (as I am also there for bass/pike), but I have caught my fair share of them over the years. Last one was actually foul hooked right through the stomach with a T1 Terminator. Ended up being a beautiful 17" rainbow smack in the middle of Northern territory. If you follow that river up past the golf course to the other side of Rt. 63, it becomes the ideal trout stream, so I guess it shouldn't be to surprising that the trout have made it the entire span of the White Memorial portion of river. |

I've fished Bantam River often and had no idea that there are trout in there. . . . _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

The outlet side of it is the more heavily stocked side, and the inlet (white memorial) side has more in the parts where you and I can't get a kayak to, but they are throughout the entire river system. |

Next time you catch a trout out of Keeney Cove take a picture of it for me. I'd love to see it. It's not the place I'd go to target trout though. Oh and by the way...
Quote: | Pewterpot Brook is a stream located just 1.3 miles from Wethersfield, in the state of Connecticut, United States, near Hartford, CT. Fishermen will find a variety of fish including sunfish, carp and white perch here |
The Brook is not even listed as having a trout population. I'm sure there's an occasional brookie in there but again...not somewhere I'd head if I was targeting trout. |
