Hello everyone. I just joined this site.
I'm a fresh and saltwater fisherman. Surf fish for bluefish mostly and enjoy anything in the freshwater. I also like to ice fish and prefer hopping around from hole to hole and jig.
Lures I go for in the freshwater are mostly Rapalas. |

I prefer to jig from hole to hole, too. 'Tis more fun to go to the fish than wait for the fish to come to you.
I'd love to read some reports about jigging with Rapalas. I tend to stick with micro jigs and Hali-type jigs, but have recently started jiggin a Lindy Darter. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Welcome to this site. I too love to fish for Blues so pm me when they come in and Ill pick you up and we'll go nail them! Did you enter in the Bluefish contest last year? I did but the biggest 1 I caught was 9.6lbs. Plan on doing again this year. I put in like 36 hours in that weekend!!! I also love to fish for Stripers!

If you look at that brown trout in my avatar PECo, you'll see how well a small size 3 Rapala Jigging Rap with no spikes can work. I've out done buddy's tip ups many times.
I left that site and am now on here Sam. Things were going downhill for me on there. |

I also like hitting stripers FishFinder. Using a medium action freshwater setup with smaller plugs in the spring is what I enjoy.
But once the blues get more active around late May, I concentrate more on the bluefish.
Surf fishing on Penfield Reef, Milford Audobon, West Haven Beach, and a few more I enjoy and also like chasing the fish on a boat. |

With me not having a car and hardly anybody to get me out on a boat for blues, I don't bother with the contest FishFinder.
Maybe you and I could enter together this year. |

West Haven huh, I love fishing off the piers across from Chics in West Haven or Gulf Beach for Blues and then in the Channel right next to Gulf Beach in the early morn for Stripers. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

FishFinder, I'm sure you saw on my Fishing Partners topic that I'm not the fisherman to wake up early, but am still willing to go fishing with you.
I take medication that easily puts me into a deep sleep and all my life I've been more of a night owl instead of a morning sparrow. |

Yes I do PHS.
Bunnells Pond at Beardsley Park closes November 30. I know the line between Bunnells Pond and the Pequonnock River so I can keep fishing throughout the trout season.
That point at Bunnells Pond facing towards the pipe coming from the Connector is the Bunnells Pond - Pequonnock River line. |

Michael, I usually am not a stay up all night person but fishing is different for some reason, While fishing I can stay up all night and fish till late morning and then go home and still not sleep. Its weird!!!! _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....
