Im dying for ice any guesses when we will have ice and where also my first trip is going to be at a local pond with tons of bluegill and bass i fish there all the time in the summer and the gills bite in 2 sec i need to know what depths and where they are going to be located and any good suggested lures for gills and bass i got tons just dont know if their the best. got them all from cabelas today |

There was 1/4" at salters in manchester, hopefully there will be ice in a couple weeks. Warm days like today wont help though. _________________ Catch and release only.
A 4lb bass is not going to grow to 8lbs on your wall.

I suggest a
swedish pimp * ice 1in - 1½in
and or
Vingla 1in - 1½in
with the hooks or a hook tipped with mousie or spike (maggot)
In my experience I have found gills from 10ft down probably deeper all the way up to about 3 feet from the ice / water surface
If you dont have a fish finder / camera etc, may I suggest just twitching your rif at different depths... _________________
