A friend and I have been racking our brains trying to figure out a type of sonar/fishfinder we can use not only on hardwater but with the kayaks on softwater. Really like the Marcum showdown but can`t find if it has a set-up for sftwtr. The lowrance x67c seems to have what is needed but I`m still researching it. Bottom line is "most bang for the buck" of course but don`t mind adding a few $s for something worth it. I Hope some of you guys could help me out. Any come back positive or negative would be cool! BRING ON THE ICE, I CAN`T TAKE IT! |

Hi jon,
Yes! I said that it was portable in my post.
Your just going to have to buy a battery for it.
I bought a 12v 7ah at the RC model store here in Winsted.
Google up "Garmin echo 300c" and read up on it!
Best regards,
SeaDog1
PS: Did you get my PM on shiners? |

Woops, I must have missed that somehow. Yea- I did get your pm. I ended up just keeping them in holding pens in my backyard creek. I have been adding about 100 to 200 per day for the past three weeks so I have something over 2000 shiners. Really easy to keep them alive and healthy. Now if only I could start using them. Might do some kayak fishing tomorrow. |

Thanks S.D. I looked it up on line and it seems to be what im looking for. Did you use the transducer it came with or did you have to get an ice transducer? I dont really know the difference. |

Unfortunately I wasnt joking. Just momentarily forgot how to read. Yea I ordered 1000 colored eurolarvae from Thorne Brothers. Again, I would like to start using them soon. |
