Once we get safe ice all over CT im wondering what body of water everyone is going to first and what you guys will be fishing for. Ill probably give Moodus res. a try first both upper and lower fishing near the causeway for anything that takes a jig or a shiner on tip-up. _________________ Top 5 Favorite lures: Boo-yah Boo jig, Zoom Horny Toad, Rapala Husky Jerk, Berkley Power Worm, Senkos |

Hi max,
Where?
Well with "ice fever" on -> the first few waters that freeze over here in Ct., with decent/reliable ice, will be over-run with fishermen.
Then as other waters freeze over, the fishermen will disperse to other waters.
That's the way it happens every year
So the first waters always get hammered hard
That the way it goes

First Ice I will be targeting little places. Have a private pond that I hit but also there are a lot of decent small ponds in Windham/Lebannon/Mansfield area. I dont even know the names of them to be honest. Small ponds are your best bet to stay on at first anyways. They are "normally" safer. _________________ You can play on your computer and hang out with your girlfriend if you want....Im gonna go fishin. |

Well we live on Hitchcock so that will be first if it freezes soon enough. Other than that, like Sea Dog said, wherever we can get onto will do. We mostly go for bass, and whatever else is a medium shiner on a tip up. |
