...to the Housy. Monday, 3 of us got over 100 from the boat. Tuesday they weren't as cooperative "only" 33. Every boat we saw was catching.

Typical Hous R. winter stripers: 22-26 inches. With a keeper mixed in if you're lucky. The schools are moving throughout the river. Gotta find 'em with your FF.

Yesterday Joe caught a tagged fish. Tag claims to offer a reward from $5. to $1000. We shall see.

We mostly use 1/2 oz lead heads with plastics like FinSFish, Storm, Sluggo, Keitech. I'm sure other stuff will work too. Very light bites tho. Ya hafta experiment. Good Luck!

So I hit the housy yesterday for my first time this year and did pretty good(stopped counting at 60).
Nothing huge, just your typical schoolies. started out jigging for a few hours with some white/glitter type super flukes and yum baits. Then went to trolling Madkey
Quad rigs, pearl white was doing the best. I have electronics and they help alot but if you don't just look for boats, the schools are large, then do what everyone else is doing. that way you can at least get a few in the boat.
Good Luck
Rich

Went again on Tuesday and there are plenty of fish around. Lost count of # caught. Biggest up to 26 inches. When we got back to the launch, a kayaker was boating one right off of shore.

Shore fishing is a lot more challenging, but the fish are cruising and holding near dropoffs and structure as well as the channels. We caught fish everywhere, and a lot close to the shoreline.

Just keep casting and you'll run into them.

Good luck!
