Locate the bait. This time of year, bunker should be running. And when I say they should, I mean they should. There's been a lot of Peanut Bunker around my area lately, but this entire fall I haven't seen a bunker bigger than four inches. If you find the bait, you will hopefully find feeding fish behind them. Just the other day I saw blues blitzing, but way out of casting range. Look around for bait fish.
