Took a quick trip to Keeney today from 7am-10am. No wind, water was pretty cold...lower 60's. Launched at Wethersfield Cove and took a trip quickly to White Oaks. 2 fish between both of us but at least my lunker was 2lbs...

Caught it on a crankbait lure near the trees at Keeney. I never have really been a fan of crankbaits but I thought I would give it a try and while I took it in on the slow retrieve the fish nailed it...

Sweet. I need to hit some more spots this week before I winterize my boat.

Thanks. I really like the area over there with all the trees. I dont think I can launch at Wethersfield anymore though...my SUV was pretty much submerged in water trying to launch yesterday.

It is tough to launch there with the water so high. It's not easy at average levels either but when it's high it is much worse.

Is the water still up today because it has been flooded for a week?
