Senkos have better action than Dingers. They also sink faster. But they're also less durable. I use both. Very Happy

ill take a yamasenko over a yum dinger anyday, i like the colors that the senkos come in better too.

This might not matter to most but another big difference is the salt. For instance yum doesn't have the scent built in. You can see on the bait the salt everywhere..meaning the scent goes away quickly while a Yamamoto is built in and technically last longer (although it's not durable)... Regardless everything is expensive lol. Try both if you haven't and see which one you like better.

i've found the strike king ones to be more durable than the yum dingers, but i texas rig often so i prefer the hook groove on the dingers...

To be honest theyre really all the same. as long as you're using a twistlock or some kind of keeper the lure will last much, much longer. Some sink a little faster than others but if youre looking to fish reasonably deep you're going to have to use some sort of weight anyway. The yamasenko is the most expensive and I have found it to be the most brittle of them all, so I don't buy them.

I've only bought one pack of dingers and two packs of senkos ever. I'm not saying I don't fish stick baits because I relied on them heavily when I started bass fishing and I'll still throw them to follow a buzz bait or spinner bait short strike or even a jig miss, but I buy the replicators/imitators/duplicators etc. online for a much lower price. They have scent and salt built in and come in great colors and are very affordable. Some even have hook keepers to bury the hook when tx rigged. I have also tried a few different homemade stick baits and I never really found any difference in fish catching ability. Sure you get a different feel with each rendition but I have caught bass with all of them on the fall and on the retrieve. Something about the magic hot dog that bass can't stay away from but I believe having confidence in what you're fishing makes all the difference in the world so throw what you feel gives you the best chance... The best stick bait imitators I have found online are from www.alluringbaits.com and they also carry a wide variety of other soft plastics for good prices as well

Kinami aka the cheaper version of a real senko
Heavy & salt and some very good colors such as ax blood / moss etc

alright ill be honest........not a spanky, dinger, or senko. I just dont throw them.
If Someone heald a knife to my throat and said pick one........id probably pick the spanky purely on its name.

Fortunately I like being lazy and since senkos "they work for me," I dont have an issue with using them.

never really found too much of a difference. i usually use the senko look-alikes by kinami as "perfect hook set" mentioned. friendlier on my wallet and they work just fine.

somethin else i like to do is take the longer thinner worms that resemble a nightcrawler. i usually find em in the bargain bin at dick's so i can't think of any brands off the top of my head, but they're made by many different companies, and come in many different colors, and usually come in a 6-8in length. i'll wacky rig em or rig em like a slug-go. lots and lots of action. small quick jerks not movin the bait a great distance, but gettin it to flex somethin crazy seem to get me strikes.

Try the BPS sticko's They are scented and have salt for the fall rate. Plus they come in i think 20 a bag and when they go on sale it's 3 bags for 10 bucks. Or you can do like I did and buy a mold, salt, plactic ,softener,Hardner, Color dye, flakes and scent. Then you can make your own in any color you want.
