And who said a wacky Senko isn't a "big fish" lure? Rolling Eyes

rjskeeter - We have nothing against Senkos. Well, I have nothing against Senkos. Shocked flippy likes to give me crap because he thinks that I rely on them too much. He's probably right, but I've been working on expanding my repertoire. I'm really loving spinnerbaits right now. Very Happy

As flippy I think said in another post, in a kayak where you are forced to sit down, its hard to fish anything but a Senko. You can't really see anything, and the angle you are forced to fish from makes swimming anything- like a swimbait, spinnerbait, crankbait, etc., really tough. When you can't point your rod tip down fishing a crankbait isn't very fun. Everything also tends to swim higher in the water column. Fishing a jig in a traditional sense is tough as well. I have the advantage to be able to stand in my kayak, and I think Phil does too in his Hobie so that makes an enormous difference. And of course you can catch huge fish on senkos. You can probably catch any size fish on any lure considering the circumstances. I caught my personal best 5 and a half fly fishing using a double bunny streamer which is only about 4 inches long. Its just that, wicky rigged or not, fish see those lures probably more than anything else.
