Well this morning my dad and I fished right off Fairfield beach from about 830 to around 11 and just caught a bunch of sea robins.

I have been hitting the Housatonic in the morning just to see if Stripers are showing up in there and have been getting bites and this morning before work I caught a 12" baby Striper. I do this because I have to leave for work early or I get caught in traffic and will be late for work so now I just leave a little earlier and play before work. Hopefully one of these mornings I hook onto a big one and have to call in late for work trying to reel it in!! LOL

Where abouts in the Housatonic? All I have been getting there still is eels. When passing Bond's dock the other day it looked like everyone there had hooked into a snapper blue just as they were required to pull their lines out for the clam boats. I went to Penfield Reef Lighthouse Saturday and Sunday and caught blues, sea robins and porgies. My two biggest hits of the day almost took my pole into the water if not for the railing of the boat catching the reel and I wasn'tt able to land either. That sucked.

Keep your drag set, buddy. I once saw someones pole go over because they didn't set their drag :O. I've also seen people's poles go almost over, if it weren't for their reel hitting a pier railing.

Fire Island is where Ive been fishing. Another baby striper this morning and a huge hit while I was getting my other pole set up from getting snagged and losing everything. That ish ripped line of my bait feeder like it was on a mission to take it out to sea. When I finally git to it it had gotten off my line and ties me up on the bridge structure and I lost everything on that line also. Evil or Very Mad Theres a lot of rocks there that Stripers like but be prepared to get snagged. Went to West haven again tonight and only got a small Striper there also after 5 hours which is the slowest its ever been there for me. It was very windy there also.

I was reffering to Alex lol. The funny thing is, a day or two later, someone actually accidentally snagged his pole while he was there Shocked . What a miracle.

Oh man did I get skunked last night/this morning. I started late so missed prime blue fishing as I got started at 10:15 last night. The freaking wind was whipping like crazy and the water was like chocolate milk also. I fished until about 8 this morning mainly because I dont like to go home without at least catching 1 fish but not this time.

Fished right off the beach next to one of my favorite piers and caught 3 blues and 2 sea robins. I heard bonito were running there earlier.

Today I caught one blue and a bunch of sea robins. Someone I know is catching lots of schoolies near a creek outflow using a fin-s on a jig head. Maybe I'll try that soon. There not very big, but at least it is something to catch
