Ditched work a little early and braved the rain to hit Lake Wintergreen today.
Got there about 4 or so to fairly clear water. Put on a chartreuse/red flake 4" senko and began casting. The bottom in the area by the "boat dock" is pretty rocky and weedy...hard to tell sometimes what's a bite or not.
Ended up going over to the small bridge where I caught my last bass when I fished in the rain and threw a couple casts. Ended up with a 10" LMB.
Fished for prolly 20 minutes after that before I figured it was time to call it quits with the rain continuing.

Nothing like ditching work for some fishing lol. That Chartruese colored Senko is becoming my favorite in 5" size. |

It's close to where I live so I hit it up after work pretty often. Tough to get to good spots before sunset though.
It's a nice lake and it doesn't' seem to be overfished at all. Rarely see more then a few people fishing on it's 44 acres. |
