I've not fished quaddick this year and I'm thinking about going this week. Any advice where to find them and what's working?

Thank you

What are you fishing out of? I usually fish the uninhabited northern section past the Baker Rd. bridge (to avoid speedboat traffic). There’s space to park and drop in a kayak or cartopper right there on Baker Rd. I had good luck there this spring, fishing weedy areas with texas rigged senkos… lots of bass and good sized pickerel. This summer I wasn’t catching much of anything there though. Now that things are cooling off… could be better. If you have a “Real boat” you’ll have to use the launch in the park, and you’ll be limited to the middle section of the lake only (water level is too high to get under the bridges right now). I fished the south section of the lake briefly a few days ago, and had some luck throwing topwater poppers close to the shore under overhanging brush.

If you happen to hook into a northern please post where! I’ve been trying to figure out where they hang out, to no avail.

Isn't "love" what makes a Subaru a Subaru? Laughing

Seriously though, sorry about the car, Jon! Wink

Thanks Phil, stuff happens I suppose... I’m chalking this one up to the bad luck I seem to be having this month lol. I am just thankful that I have a spare vehicle to get to work etc. The issue should be covered under a recall which was just announced last week, the problem being that it was just announced last week Sad. So I’m probably going to have to pay up front to have the car repaired at a dealer, and then wait several months to be reimbursed. They haven’t even started mailing out recall notices to owners yet. So we’ll see. Here’s a link to the recall announcement:

If anyone here has an 02-07ish Impreza or related model, you may want to at least check your control arms now, because you really don’t want them to break in half and leave you stranded like mine did! If they look swiss-cheesy, give Subaru of America a call...

Did you throw a double willow blade spinnerbait? You gotta throw one now.
