does anyone know of any good spots to fish along the connecticut river between hartford-middletown? i dont own a boat so im looking for a good spot to bank fish. i mostly do nightfishing for catfish. i have good luck at the entrance to the wtfld cove but im getting bored there now and would like a new challenge. please let me know any good spots where i can set up my pole and chair, and maybe make a little fire pit, i would appreciate.

There is a fishing pier near the ferry crossing in Rocky Hill but I wouldn't start a fire there Smile I have seen people pull cats from there.

I don't fish for catfish, but walked part of the Connecticut River riverbank the other day and it was really, really slippery. The wet, silty mud that's covering the riverbank is like slippery clay. Be careful out there in the dark.
