Today I caught one small blue off a bunker chunk, and had another one on that got off the hook.

Had lots of action today. Went out on the Maridee II out of RI and we nailed some big Stripers and Blues. My biggest was a 51" Striper which thrilled the crap out of me!!! I also caught a 39" and a 33" Striper plus a 38", 35" and a 31" Blue not to mention a Albacore, small Fluke and 1 small Sea Bass.

Wow, awesome fish fishfinder! Today I caught 2 17 inch blues and a sea robin. I was using mackerel and bunker for bait. I ate the two blues for dinner. There's a lot of 16-20 inch blues in my area.

Bill, they didnt have a scale on board and they filleted all the fish by the time we got back. According to the DEP hand guide that says length x length x length divided by 2,200 it would be 60.29 but I dont think its accurate but I do believe it was in the 50's somewhere. It sure was fat thats for sure and yes all keepers were kept, filleted and divided equally amongst all of us.

Nice stripaah!!

I love when people say that because you caught a fish a certain way it doesn't count. I find it's typically people that are jealous that say shit like that Wink I'm pretty sure CD was just kidding though. Nice job!

I tell ya, looking back at those pics it looks like those bass on the floor are small but believe me they are all of good size like mainly 36" give or take a few inches with most being above that. 1 was a 45"er, 1 was a 40"er, a 39"er

This is probably a discussion for another thread, but I'm still not sold on the idea of fishing with bait. Fishface (aka Tim) says that I should just get over it and use nightcrawlers to catch walleye. After all, I use bait when icefishing. Confused But I'm going to try using fake worms to catch walleye first.

The pros use live bait in walleye tourneys. At least from what I have seen on Versus.
